Then today when away from Wifi noticed that mobile data wasn't working. It's all turned on, APN looks correct. They seem to think that their network is correct, but there support is generally incompetent, so it could be a problem on their end.
Phone calls and text message work, but no LTE, which is what I get with my other phone. If that doesn't work I'll swap my SIM from my Z-play and if that doesn't work I'm probably going to have to return the phone as defective.
If it's a known problem with a known solution like an update I can probably wait a few days. I do NOT want to go through the process of making sure the phone has all the stuff from the old one again. I would love to hear what the solution is. I swapped a known good SIM from my other phone.

I suspect they screwed up when they provisioned the SIM. They looked at it for a while, then put another brand new SIM in it. Same problem. After quite a while, they finally got it to work. Worked fine after that. Obviously, their databases or whatever that decide what capabilities a device have don't think that the IMEIs from G7 Power phones are 4G capable. This may explain why G7 Powers on other carriers are also experiencing this problem, and why some forums I have read that some phones work and others do not.
My recommendation for others is to talk to a competent person for the carrier and ask them to encode an IMEI number for a known supported phone and see if that works. I'm not sure if this will cause some problem in the future, but it seems to work for now. It is the wife's phone and she is happy for now. She loves the battery, which is why we got this phone. I understand your wife's handling the ticket process, but do you happen to know when the last ticket was filed? Have you reached to our Tech folks to have them look at the ticket? Do you have the ticket number by chance? If so, can you uninstall them temporarily and test out the messaging?

And so far, the G7 Power, at least for me, is in that group. The method I used was USB-less, because this phone charges anytime you plug it into any device, and going through the cable to my computer just wasn't a great option as I'm trying to save this battery that doesn't easily come out.

As far as pda i use foxfi. Paid key version and select activate USB mode. See pic below. I'm on Retail. Try the updated firmware. June patch. I'm rocking it no problems rooted. After significant research it seems to be related to Firmware problems. Rolling back to old firmware seems to fix it for some people Not recommended. This problem seems to be somewhat common with the G7 lineup especially the Power. I used the exact same sim-card so I know it is not a sim issue. It is definitely related to the firmware or hardware itself. As of April 12, the only solutions are to either wait for a firmware update, or replace the phone.
View solution in original post. Not really no, I am not sure what else to try since it seems to be software associated with the sim causing the issue. I have tried dialing numbers to "re provision" the phone but that doesnt even work the phone automatically does it after a forced reset from sprint side.
Would like to give you good news, but if it's blank you don't have many options besides waiting out the bug or swapping the phone and hoping the new one isn't affected.

It's not a hardware issue, it's a software bug that's affecting a small number of phones. I don't know how true it is because it came from a member not someone working with motorola. However he was correct though, those 2 boxes were blank showing no information. If they are not supposed to be then this seems to possibly be the issue. Yes I will try exchanging.
